Virtual Educational Programme for Furniture Branch

An internat. project entitled came into being due to close cooperation between the MENDELU in Brno and the Textile Testing Inst. with the support of the Cluster of CFM. The project was financially supported by Leonardo da Vinci, the EU LLP for 2010-12.The project was initiated by the need to develop support tools for lifelong learning in the field, so as to be usable for students, teachers, experts in production, sales as well as furniture design. To achieve these objectives, three basic elements have been selected a glossary of tech. terms of the furniture industry, an overview of technical regulations and an elearning virtual house that illustrates the application of technical requirements in practice.
