The project is aimed at identification of stress factors and primary stress mechanisms (mainly at physiological and growth level) in model woody plant species. The hitherto used approach based mainly on monitoring the health contrition, growth-yield characteristics and environmental parameters cannot embody the whole complex of changes taking place in woody plants in stress conditions. The approach proposed in this project will comprise more details about response to stress of various intensity, by original joining of "traditional methods" (monitoring of environmental variables, health condition, growth-production characteristics) and physiological or metabolic changes occurring at various structural levels and developmental phases in woody plants.
