The objective of the project is to enhance coordination in policy making and test novel policies and business processes for increased incentives for the sustainable provision of forest ecosystem services by forest owners/administrators. The commonly cited TEEB (The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity) definition of ecosystem services is “the direct and indirect contributions of ecosystems to human well-being”. These are further divided into provisioning, regulating, supporting (or habitat) and cultural services. Project will use cooperation between Faculty of Forestry and Faculty of Wood Sciences at the Technical University in Zvolen.
