Project is oriented for usage of modern technology in forest
management and its simulation. Project is using the device
of virtual 3D cave (CAVE). Project expands
possibilities of virtual cave by few software applications: a)
thinning trainer (Stage WATT), b) visualization of terrestrial
laser scanner measurements (Stage TESLA), c)
architecture and morphology of trees and plants (Stage
ARCHIMEDES) and d) prognosis and simulations in forest
landscape (Stage PASCAL). Application is unique in
European region and it will serve as a tool for training and
optimization of forest management and landscape
management for enterprises VšLP TU Zvolen (Forest enterprise of Technical university in Zvolen) and State forests of TANAP.
