3-D functional models of flood protection of the landscape for new forms and methods of university education

The project deals with the design, realization and educational use of 3-D model functional flood protection objects in the field. This unique field laboratory can serve as an illustration for the teaching of subjects related to landscape engineering, hydrology, forestry hydrology, forest melioration, landscape ingeneering etc. for students of the Technical University in Zvolen and other faculties and universities of the SR. We plan to build a laboratory at a selected watercourse in University Forest Enterrprise of the TU in Zvolen. On the artificial branch of a 1:10 scale flow profile, 3D models of landscape flood protection objects will be built on the same scale-barrage,weir, sill, and a polder with a ground dam. The lab will serve as a learning object for university students.
