Specific part of our historic organs are smaller single-manual instruments without pedal and organ positives which had in particular acoustic space also “function“ of big instruments. Proposed project focuses on research of wooden registry of the chosen organ positives and mainly on Copula major and minor. A goal of the project with respectable research team is to bring the most complex knowledge about the above mentioned registry and also to specify the method of how organ producers reached their given acoustic properties. Our research will be realised in some particular research activities. It starts by the gathering and analysis of mensural data and follows by the analysis of physically-acoustic material properties of organ pipes. As the results it will be complete and complex knowledge from historic coulour of sound, through tuning and finally to acoustics of particular space. At the same time it will be realised also musicologic reflection of historic organ repertoire in the context of particular musical instruments and new musical styles and interpretation possibilities.
