Assessment of STN ISO 1171 and EN 14775 in terms of quantification of ash in biofuels

The present project deals with the assessment of the suitability for use of STN ISO 1171 Solid fuels - Determination of ash and EN 14775 Solid biofuels - Determination of ash from the aspect of quantification proportion of ash in biofuel. Practical analysis measuring the proportion of ash both standards show an average of 25% to 40% difference. Objectivity of the information affects the energy properties of the fuel and production waste from energy sector.
