The project focuses on research and development (R&D) support and is orientated to maximise the use of current and state of the art scientific knowledge in the particular area -- this would consider Low Energy and Passive Houses and sustainable building development, with particular effect on enhancing the domestic wood processing and construction industry, together with effect on energy efficient building occupation.
The system will be brought into reality by means of know-how transfer, supported by advanced technologies for Low Energy Buildings and Passive Houses, while using domestic wood based renewable materials. To perform this, human potential of former PhD students will be used. Dr. Pavol Sedlak will be the key person, using the knowledge gained during his PhD studies and during later activities on domestic and foreign R&D institutions.
Subject of the project will be research and development of balanced building system prototype, for Low Energy and Passive House based on wood materials. The system will have several options of building envelope design, all using renewable wooden materials as essential source. The construction design will be based on combination of theoretical analysis and experimental testing, performed on existing and planned extented laboratory equipment required for the project.
