Modification of wood properties for the purpose of 3-D compression molding

Wood is a multipurpose material. Wood properties are mostly treated or modified for the reason to improve wood formability or to improve product properties.
The project is oriented at problems of three-dimensional (3D) forming of thin wood materials -- veneers; and problems of wood properties modifications connected with 3D molding. Particular part of solution is to search wood properties of representative species for given forming; to create the methods of evaluation of them; and to evaluate the formability of modified wood.
The aim of solution is to improve of wood formability and so to create good conditions for 3D forming of wood.
